ESCA Soil Moisture Sensor | Capacitive
The ESCA product range is a series of automation products prioritizing agricultural, horticultural, and aquacultural applications. The Capacitive - Soil Moisture Sensor enables low maintenance, on point contact with the environment for measurement, data collection and collation.

Utilising the Capacitive method vs the Resistive method, the ESCA-SMS is designed for remote, low maintenance and long endurance operation. Equipped with a battery and an RF transmission module, the sensor is deployed in agricultural settings and then monitored via the SCALAE - GATEWAY. The Gateway functions as a central collation point for the sensors liked to it, collating the data for transmission to an online | inCloud repository.

ESCA SMS - what is it?
ESCA - SMS is a PIC Microcontroller based soil moisture management sensor. The module can be used in a standalone applications, cable interface or networked. The unit includes an RF interface and an integrated temperature sensor for moisture as a function of temperature calculations.
