Conceptulize Systems
We provide a consultation service which conceptualizes the system advising on the appropriate technologies and deliverables.
Software Development
PC or Embedded, the software ties the elements together. The embedded code is written in C and ties neatly together with Desktop and PC applications with in C# and ASPX.NET for the online presence.
PCB Development
For human to system or system to system integration, we design and develop appropriate hardware to interface with processes and real world environments.
Systems Deployment
We engage and delpoy the system into the target environment or aid in the deployment.
Key in the custom design process is client consultation. This step develops the system from an architectural perspective into a design sepecification and establishes the client's expectations. It's in this phase that the initial contract is signed, along with the agreed work that is to be done. This phase is critical to the completion of the project as this is when the technology elements are chosen.

For example, deciding to proceed with an 8 BIT device may seem a good cost effective path, but for future development it's limited. The consultation would then reveal that a 16 or even a 32 bit would be better suited for the long term success of the project | product | system.

Once a renumeration strategy is agreed to, and if aplicable initial coniditions met, the work commences.
The proof of concept delivery, is the physicaly system that was decided apon in principle and is subject to changes, alterations, improvements on shortcomings and new features. Although deviation on the original specification can take place, the system would have been designed to the original specifications and since adherance is in place, the client may be requoted for ongoing changes and improvements. This phase is then a secondary consultation phase which leads to the final delivery of the custom design.
For Rapid prototyping options, see the following: Rapid Prototyping »
Delivery of the final product | system | technology is the delivery of the sysytem agreed to in the consultation phase, including enhancements, design concept alterations and improvements to the original design specification. Since systems may include final sign off and commisioning, this would be included.

The Client's ROI (Return on Investment) would be realised from this point on; with the system live they reap the benefits of a well design, well built sustem or product.
We continue to support both the client and product during the product's life cycle or technology life cycle.

A technology for example 3G, a microcontroller, device or component used in manufacture may no longer be available for maintenance purposes or system operation. If or when this takes place, we refer the client to the continuous improvement phase of a product's life cycle. It's important for revenue generating products and systems to keep up with the latest developments in new technology.
Good designs can be in production for a long time, and continue to earn revenue many years after they are completed. As technology changes however, it may be prudent for a client to upgrade an existing product with new technology.

As a client and owner of a successfull product, we advise you to take advantage of some of the following changes in technology:
  • Energy efficient devices
  • New developments in communication technology, eg Bluetooth, WIFI, MIWI, OOK, LORA,
  • Security: an encrypted devuce or an AES add on to ensure encryption
  • Legal compliance to enter a new market - enviromental regulations, etc

Notwithstanding the above, you may want to add new operational features, ie. software upgrades that improve user friendliness and make the product better or easier to use.

To reduce costs of custom design to client, the following licensing and IP Ownership Models are available.

  1. Option 1: This option allows the client to take the design, when complete and in its static state and either sell on or reproduce the design, without alteration or ammendment.
    1. Only compiled code is provided, where software is the deliverable
    2. Only gerber files are provided, where a PCB is the deliverable
    3. Full documenatio is provided, where it does not infringe on the above
  2. Option 2: This option allows the client to take the design, when complete and enables them to ammend, update, upgrade or deconstruct the design reselling or resuing components. Option 2 sells at 3X the cost of option 1.
    1. Full source code is provided
    2. Project Files for the CAD package are provided
    3. Full Documentaiton is provided
